Recently, a surgical team from the Surgery Department of Hoan Hao Kei Mei Kai Di An General Hospital, led by Dr. Chau Thanh Long – Director of the hospital – successfully performed bilateral hip replacement surgery for a 41-year-old male patient diagnosed with avascular necrosis of both femoral heads.

The patient was admitted in a state of severe bilateral hip pain, with limited mobility and significantly reduced quality of life. After clinical examination and imaging diagnostics, doctors confirmed that the patient suffered from avascular necrosis of both femoral heads, with total hip replacement being the only optimal treatment option.

Following thorough preparation—including comprehensive health evaluation, laboratory testing, and multidisciplinary consultation—the surgical team carried out the simultaneous replacement of both hip joints with artificial implants in a single procedure.
